Who We Are
Our company is founded by a single mother of four, Virginie Kasiama who holds dual Master degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Applied Behavior Analysis from Antioch New England University, NH, Keene. As an african-american parent of a child with autism, our president and CEO understands and lived the difficulties of finding appropriate services and resources for her child. Finding appropriate services is often a bumpy road filled with lack of understanding from providers only further widening the gap of disparities in access to healthcare and resources for individuals with autism, particularly individuals of color. From accepting the diagnosis and breaking the cultural stigma with frustration, Virginie has built a wide range of skill sets. She is a volunteer ambassador advocacy for Autism Speaks in Massachusetts, she has founded an international support group for BIPOC parents where she empowers families/caregivers with educational guidance on the needs for their children on the spectrum. Virginie is inspired by the quote ”autism does not come with a manual, it comes with a parent who never gives up” For Virginie, JECC is a sanctuary for children with autism, mental health needs, and all disabilities. Virginie’s four children are her motivation and support for her passion in assisting underserved families locally and internationally.
