Our professionals at JECC Behavioral Center can work together with you and your family to overcome the behavioral problems and issues you are currently facing. These issues can affect a lot of aspects of an individual’s life, such as relational, occupational, educational, social and decision making. Thus, we will help you in any way we can through interventions, treatments, community resources, and comprehensive support.

JECC, LLC is a multifaceted organization where we provide an array of innovative and evidence-based outpatient mental health services and IHBS(In Home Behavior Services in the model of Applied Behavior Analysis), ABA therapy/services, caregiver skills training, skills training for individual with autism where our staff work in homes and communities, and social skills groups for children with or without autism or any other spectrum diagnoses. Our therapeutic services are individually tailored to meet the goals of each patient served. We offer both traditional and non-traditional services throughout our behavioral center from trauma- informed individual care, group and family therapy, school-based services, respite home based , DESE/Waiver DDS services, parent support group, children and adult mindfulness, as well as anxiety group therapy. JECC Behavioral Center utilizes intervention methods that are evidenced-based to meet the unique needs of children, adults, and families dealing with a range of serious emotional disturbances, psychological needs, and behavioral health challenges. CBHI (Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative)

The Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI) is the system of state-funded behavioral health services for children, youth, and their families created by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. CBHI includes education and outreach, standardized behavioral health screenings and assessments, community-based services, and more.

In-Home Behavior Services

In-Home Behavioral Services (IHBS) are part of the array of CBHI services that families can access through a CBHI “hub.” The hubs are Outpatient Treatment, In-Home Therapy, and Intensive Care Coordination.1IHBS service and its foundations in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behavior Support (PBS); The science of behavioral change is centrally driven by the analysis and monitoring of data. Gathering baseline data at the point of assessment and throughout implementation of the Behavioral Support Plan is essential for the effective delivery of IHBS. Designed to work closely with the youth and family to identify behaviors that are barriers to the youth remaining safely at home and to improve quality of life.

Outpatient Therapy

Rather than being admitted overnight, outpatient therapy offers an alternative for individuals seeking help and treatment to be provided services in an outpatient setting. Outpatient services are an excellent option because they can be tailored to provide each patient with the right treatment plan. Treatment can also range from short-term counseling to long-term treatment plans.

In-Home Therapy

IHT is provided by a master’s-level clinician, usually partnered with a bachelor’s-level person (Therapeutic Training and Support staff). Both may play a role in care- coordination tasks, including locating resources, communicating with other providers and supports, and helping the family find solutions to concrete needs that affect the child’s behavioral health (e.g., housing, transportation). Additionally, IHT provides direct clinical interventions, such as family therapy, at an intensity and duration commensurate with the youth’s needs. Youth receiving IHT as their hub service typically need a moderate level of care coordination; if they need a higher level, a referral to ICC should be discussed.
Parent Support group with Children with Autism and Mental Health: BENEFICIAL Many parents are not prepared to handle the complexities of life with a child who has ASD/ Mental Health . Parent’s could benefit from learning more about the disorder, the resources available, and tools to help their children as parents and children strive to meet their unique needs.

Autism and Services

JECC Behavioral Center provides a variety of individualized programs and services to support autistic children and adults, and their families. It is our mission to provide a safe, comfortable, conducive, and engaging environment that provides meaningful activities and opportunities for these individuals to continue to develop new skills.

ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis)

Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is a form of behavioral therapy that focuses on behavior and the physical or social influences of the environment. The goal of ABA is to increase skills that promote learning and decrease behaviors that interfere with this process. ABA is commonly used to treat children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and can be used in individual, family, and group formats. Positive reinforcement, as well as applications in structured (e.g., classroom) and unstructured (e.g., home or playground) environments are used.

Caregiver Skills Training Services

Caregiver skills training teaches family caregivers how to use every day routines and home activities to improve the mental and physical well-being of their children , including by addressing communication skills , daily living skills, social engagement and behavior management t . This evidenced -based approach has been implemented around the globe as well as in underserved rural and urban areas in the United States and assists families who may struggle with access to adequate health services and social engagement opportunities, the caregivers skills is a program provide an evidence-based way to support healthy. development of young children with autism developmental disabilities or delays while empowering family caregivers with knowledge and skills.

Waiver/DDS

The program has been run by the Autism Division of the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) , an Autism Waiver Program that provides one-to-one interventions to help children with autism who exhibit severe behavior, social and communication challenges. The program provides intensive in-home services and supports. This service occurs in the child’s home or other natural settings under the supervision of trained clinical staff. The waiver also provides related support services such as community integration activities and respite. At the conclusion of the three years of intensive services, a child may access supplemental services that meet the child’s needs and help with the transition out of the intensive Autism Waiver Program until the child’s 9th birthday.

Children’s and Adult Mindfulness Group

JECC Behavioral Center equips children and adults with tools to build self-esteem, manage stress, and skillful approach challenges through mindfulness. Mindfulness can boost emotional and physical wellbeing, and help to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. It can also help children and adults handle the stress of study, work, and play as they get older.

For Children’s Social Skills (With/Without Autism, Ages 4-6, 7-10)

Group therapy is a common treatment for children with ASD because it provides an environment of peers in which they can practice social skills. Groups focused on social skills training can be offered by autism-focused providers, school counselors, or other clinicians in hospitals, community mental health centers, or private practices. Social skills group for kids who have trouble making friends, exhibiting significant relational issues.

Therapeutic Mentor Services

JECC Behavioral Center offers therapeutic mentoring services through structured, one-to-one, strength-based support services with a therapeutic mentor. This service aims to support a specific goal on the child’s behavioral treatment plan (e.g., developing social skills, interpersonal skills, problem-solving strategies, or daily living skills).

Parents Support Group of Children with Autism and Mental Health

Children who are diagnosed with autism or other mental health conditions may have difficulties with daily life as their routines change and as their well-being affects their psychological health. At the same time, this can also affect the health and well-being of the parents providing primary care to their children. For this reason, JECC Behavioral Center provides a parents support group to aid them in raising children with autism and mental health conditions.

Diversion Program

The goal of diversion programs is to identify individuals with serious mental and behavioral health conditions who are involved with the criminal justice system. We then help redirect them from traditional criminal justice pathways to mental health treatment systems. JECC Behavioral Center also helps connect these individuals to community-based treatments.

School-Based Counseling

JECC Behavioral Center offers school-based counseling to help clinicians, teachers, and other support staff to communicate directly and effectively coordinate the care of students experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties in the school. Family Therapy

ASD/ Mental Health affects everyone in the family, not just the child or client who has been diagnosed with the disorder. Family therapy would be a good venue to address Ja issues within the family , as well as any discipline issues that arise. Fostering children/client attachment to their parents will continue to be important as well.
